SPOTLIGHT   It’s rare when you meet a musician whose career ambitions don’t include touring, making a lot of money and having a ton of adoring fans. John Sweeney definitely is that! Seeing him on stage with his trusty acoustic guitar, you’d never guess he didn’t start playing until seven years ago. You’d also never guess that his debut CD, Spread the Love, was the first thing he’s ever recorded. Sweeney is a hidden gem in the Wilmington music scene. And he is just as content spending time with his family as he is performing his music for local audiences.
